How It All Started

Hi, I’m Erin, the redhead behind The Groovy Ginger.

A few years ago, I tested positive for BRCA2 and chose to have a preventative bilateral mastectomy. I’d spent years working in mammography and with breast cancer organizations, but going through that experience personally shifted something in me. It made me realize how short, precious, and wildly unpredictable life can be — and how important it is to create things that make people smile.

So I built The Groovy Ginger as a place where fun, funky, music-loving designs collide with joy, color, and a little bit of ginger-powered attitude. I want this shop to feel like a bright spot in someone’s day.

I also use my shop to support other small businesses — especially those who give back. Community matters, kindness matters, and good humans helping other good humans matters. If I can lift up another creator while creating something fun for you, that’s a win-win.
